This is an angelic figure with an infant sitting in the woods. However, the
trees resemble more a stained-glass window of a cathedral. Little spirit-like
figures to the right are watching over the mother & child. It is definitely
ethereal and gives me a spiritual feeling that new mothers experience. I
painted a series of mother & baby paintings when my own children had their
first babies. It was so thrilling to be a grandmother. And this is how I
felt!
