Eve: The Pear

This is one of many of my ‘Eve and the Garden of Eden’ series. Here, Adam
is
seducing Eve with a pear. It has classical influences and fine crosshatch
strokes. The bare feet and strong hands are in many of my works. Again the
poppies from my own garden made their way into my painting--only here,
poetic license allows them to be white. This painting has strong,
masculine
shapes as well as a soft, feminine and ethereal feeling.
